Worried wife again ! Vomiting
I'm certainly no expert but I think my first move would be to phone 111 and ask to speak to someone medically trained. That's what they are there for, and let them assess the situation, then decide what to do next. And you've been posting as "worried wife" for 3 weeks, let one of them take some of the stress away.
I'll second that 👍
Hello
I agree phoning 111 for advice is what you need to do and also agree do not go in a panic
When I first had my Bypass op at home we had a shower stool and I would sit on that while my Husband helped shower me sat down , I was very unsteady and it was weeks before I could stand in the shower and not feel wobbly even though the shower stool was not used for to long it was not to expensive and worth every penny because it really helped in those early days and weeks
Also they do say do not have the water to hot which is something you have to watch out for
Please let us know how you get on and I am sure he will be alright x
Hi RevRog, Bekind has the right idea, the hoppy may be able to lend you something to put in the bath. In the meantime, i hope you have called 111 by now. I didn't have any issues after my op, (I'm 65, don't know how old hubby is), but it sounds like he needs checking up. Take care, looking after someone takes it's toll on you too.
Hello
I was just wondering how your Husband is now and how are you to
Would love to hear how you have got on x
Thanks for your concern Roger didnt want me to ring 111 He has not been sick since & did a 25 min walk around the garden however later in evening did feel very drained & went to bed at 9 30 He has a zoom type meeting with his rehab nurse ( first 1) on Thurs & will ask her advice or ring her Mon ( they are not available weekends ) Still waiting for blood tests / ecg check up appt with GP as requested by hosp ( receptionist claimed theyd not had discharge letter i took ours to be photocopied by them ) Tues will be 2 weeks since discharge .Im just carrying on carrying on ! 💕 Lesley
Hello Lesley
It is early days it really is and to be honest at this stage I could not do a 25 min walk so he is doing well but make sure he does not over do it and as I said that chair I had in the shower I am sure in those early days without that I could have been passing out
Keep us updated when you can and take one day at a time he will be ok x
Hope things go well Lesley. I can only say that my hubby felt nauseated and faint as well when in the shower which is why he preferred to have a bath!! Getting those darned elasticated stockings back on was a chore though!
I hope your hubby is feeling much better now.
Lots of love. Jan xxxx
Hi RevRog. Hope Roger is a little better today. It's tough going for the 1 st few weeks. Showering takes the stuffing out of you the 1 st few showers. I used be so weak ,that I was back in bed before I was completely dry. You cover a little stronger every day. Get Roger to keep doing breathing exercises and his walking. You need to take care of yourself as it's very hard for you to see him suffer. As others have said ring 111 for advice. Don't suffer in silence. Stay safe.
Hi. Leslie. I hope that Roger is feeling better and that you are also trying to give some care to you. I am adding you both to my prayer list and hope that your stress lessens and that Roger continues to heal. Diana
Thank you so much may i ask that you also pray for our sons partner Charlotte the mum of our beloved Granddaughters aged 3 & 1 .Charlotte has a brain tumour ( the same type as Tom Parker from pop group wanted ) Shes been given 2 years to live That was 1 year ago After an operation chemo & radiotherapy she is doing well Today she had a MRI scan to check for any new growths 🙏 Results next month Also Roger has Prostate cancer & will be having blood tests for that inJune we used to look after our Grandchildren 2 times a week to help out but at the mo we cant But their vists certainly perk Roger up 😃💕✝️
Leslie, I will be happy to add Charlotte to my daily prayers and your family. You all have been going through so much and it is hard. Diana
You are going through a lot Leslie.Roger seems to be doing well. Hopefully he is back on his feet soon.
I just wanted to add that Leslie you should remember that you are doing an amazing job and please take care of yourself too.
Loads of love from
