Worried wife now less worried!
Hello
This is great news and it sounds like at the stage he is at he is doing really well
I lost my appetite after as well as foods I really liked and drinks just did not taste the same maybe that is down to all the anesthetic we have but it does slowly come back
One strange thing and even though they are not good for you but I have never like jelly babies my husbands favourites and even though I will not eat every colour some colours I crave for when he has some so I often think even though I now like my favourites from before again I have aquired different tastes buds so maybe try him with something he does not normally have and see what happens worth a go
He will eat when he is ready though
I am glad you are a less worried wife and hopefully in the near future you and your Husband will be back to doing the things together that you loved
Thank you for the update and when you have a moment keep letting us know how you both are doing x
Liar Liar pants on fire !!!!!!!!!!!!! You are not the sort to ever be less worried about your husband Roger {and is he a Rev?} but I am glad having followed you story that the pair of you are settling into the recovery phase of this nightmare journey that you both have been on.
Chelsea bun? Lol and we are not going to mention his preferred football team {and this is from a Millwall supporter !}
Small steps small steps, Roger for a while will feel like a toddler with a full nappy, but we all know how quick a toddler grows.
His taste hopefully will return but it is something to keep an eye on, get him on the scales and keep a log of his results, keep a diary so when you see the Dr/Cardiologist etc you have a record to tell them {you will be surprised at what you forget}
Take care, TUT Spurs? Really?
😃😅 Yes Roger is a retired Baptist minister & a footy maniac ! Hes football mad & has a massive collection which is overtaking our home He sells it on ebay ( as Rog the Rev ) signed shirts photo s etc mainly 1966 stuff No millwall tho ! ⚽️
LOL well I be blessed, my Granddad was a Baptist minister as well, in Enfield {a life time ago now} you’ll have to rename it a Spurs bun, to get his appetite back!
Take care of each other, no Millwall stuff? {not really surprised} lol
Rog was a minister in Dagenham very handy for getting footy autographs 😃 west Ham trained behind our sons school ( hes an arsenal fan my fault bought him a second hand kit when he was 2 cos i liked the colours (yellow/ blue i know nothing about footy ) well better stop posting or someone will say this chat isnt appropiate !💕🐶
Ps all ebay stuff suspended at mo just in case you were interested !
A point required against Norwich to qualify for Champions League. What could possibly go wrong? Will they go all Spursy? 😳
apart from his taste in football teams .....I'm delighted to hear that he is now Afib free and beginning to mend. His appetite and sense of taste will return as will energy levels and zest for life. Pleased to see you are more relaxed about it all....it was not a great experience for you either. Baby steps, keep doing the breathing exercises (these are really important) and keep walking. So pleased you kept us informed as to his progress.....and yours.
Frances x
Great to hear he’s doing so well and that your feeling happier too 😊
My fiancé didn’t have much of an appetite for quite a while after surgery, he ate a lot of light meals like beans on toast, omelettes, yoghurts etc rather then anything “big.”
Best wishes to you both x
