Be yourself. Tell it as it is. If possible, someone could be with you. Dont panic if you are refused. It is often a success second or third time around.

Listen carefully and answer the questions. Do not answer things you have not been asked.

thank you. it’s a lot of pressure though. i think it’s worse on the phone. i’d rather be face to face but it is what it is ❤️

Hi Shoshov

I used this organisation to help me when I successfully applied for my PIP a few years ago.

benefitsandwork.co.uk/perso...

I suggest you put the phone on speaker mode and ask someone to take notes for you.

You can only record the session with the assessors permission.

Tell them how your heart condition effects you on your worst day.

Be prepared to appeal. About 60% of people are awarded a PIP on appeal.

Good luck!

Good luck with that!!! Try not to give them any eye contact, keep looking down or sideways. l was refused PIP because l gave the man eye contact, l then applied again by mandatory reconsideration but again they kept banging on about eye contact and l was refused. They are just concerned about what you cannot do unaided, also make sure you look miserable and dowdy, they said l was too presentable. Maybe you could sweep a chimney before you go on zoom, or speak slowly and quietly if its just a phone call. Take care and let us know how you got on, Sue.
