PIP/ATTENDANCE ALLOWANCE

About a month ago a post on here was replied to by Milkfairy who gave a link for help in claiming the above. Something like you could register online to an outfit for a small annual fee for information and support in completing the forms. I wonder if anyone recognises the post and supply me with the link please . Many thanks

benefitsandwork.co.uk is the one I think your looking for, the website has a lot of information free and in-depth for a fee

Hope it helps with your claiming

I noticed there’s a discount code for 20% off when you sign up - PT1122

I’ve just asked for a reconsideration so I’m going to see if I can get some help with giving the information more coherently 😬🙃

Thank you, that came through on my e mails after I had already signed up and paid for it the full 19.99. But never mind its a mine of information.

Oh, how annoying! At least you’re going to get some help though, that’s the main thing 🙂

That's the one!

I used their advice and I was awarded a PIP first time, then it was enhanced indefinitely on review.

No luck with PIP for me. I did mandatory reconsideration, next step is only appeal. I got LCWRA though oddly enough.

Good luck with your appeal.

Hi, I got the Citizens Advice to help fill in the form for AA, amazed that it was granted at the highest level in 3 weeks. They suggested things that would never have occurred to me to put on the form.

If you have a physio or OT they will help you for free. I used to do forms with my patients. Remember, it is how you are on a bad day, and cooking from scratch, peeling spuds, carrying pans of boiling water etc.

That was my post a few weeks ago.

Yesterday I was told I now get LWCRA by UC, after my second attempt.

I spoke to PIP and have a new form that has been sent on an email link to reapply, as I did not get enough points to receive it, although been told I cannot work.

Anyway, the link is to my post with all the details.

When doing it, it is done on your worst day, not average, not it varies, worst case scenario only.

Good luck

Benefits and work website is the one. Absolutely brilliant. They charge a small annual fee to access all the full advice but it's well worth it. I joined around 15 years ago and even though I get PIP indefinitely now. It pays to keep up with what's happening. The advice is on how to word your claim and how to explain things. I'm pretty sure you have to be under 65 to claim PIP but even for carers allowance or attendance allowance you need their advice. I once helped a friend fill in a claim for attendance allowance for her mum. She'd just done yes/no answers and couldn't believe it ook me over 3 hours. Question s like "Can your mum go upstairs?" She'd just put yes. It turned out that her husband went in front to pull her up each step while my friend went behind pushing her and lifting her feet so NO she couldn't go upstairs. The answers have to be to 'can you do these things consistently and without pain?'

Great advice from everyone. It also should include how much longer does it take to do things than a normal healthy person and can you do it safely. I have done lots of these forms in the past. The web site sounds well worth the payment
