So glad you are still here, I hope your stay in hospital is brief and that you have a happier and healthier year in 2020.

I'm glad the ICD did the job, although it sounds rather alarming.Hope you make a quick recovery in hospital and have a calm and peaceful New Year.

Not fun to be in hospital over Hogmanay but how wonderful your ICD did its job and you're still with us!

Thank-you for describing what it felt like to have the ICD go off - I don't have one, don't anticipate having one as my heart conditions rarely lead to having an ICD, but now I know what to expect if I ever do have one implanted. Very useful knowledge, San Pedro, thank-you!

Hi Sanpedro2019, sorry to hear bout the ICD firing but very glad it did its job. I do sympathise with you being in the hospital but hopefully it won’t be for too long. I would be interested in the drug they’re going to offer you, we were at the hospital the Friday before Christmas and we discussed newer drugs with the consultant as My husband has a few issues come to light. Best wishes for a healthier New Year and more jokes xx

Thank you

I am glad to hear it did it’s job and I want to thank you for sharing. My husband had his ICD fitted in June . He has had a few episodes of the pacing firing enough for the hospital to ring but no shocks . I understand the need for a hospital now for medication etc . I hope 2020 will bring you good health .

in reply toGladwyn

Definitely as my husbands heart condition was out of the blue and he is only 52. He was a runner and ate healthy . He is still undergoing tests to try and establish a cause .

Happy new year too
