ICD Implanted Less than 48 Hours Ago - Back home and feeling great!

I had my ICD procedure on Wednesday and after 1 night in the hospital I'm home and feeling great. The whole procedure took less than 60 minutes and I've got a great X-Ray to prove it. After being very nervous beforehand the whole procedure was smooth and a great team of Drs and Nurses. Very relaxed now and enjoying my hardware upgrade.

Thanks for sharing your great news!! I felt the same after my implant. I could the improvement when I first tried to get out of bed the following morning. It was so much easier! Surgery went smoothly.

Glad you’re doing well! When did they decide you needed it?

Congratulations! From the looks of your pic my hubby has the same device implanted 6 weeks ago. We kept debating about even having the procedure done. Amazingly, like you say, the surgery was easy and the recovery went smoothly. He was worried about the pain and Tylenol was all he needed for a few days.

The day after the implant he got out bed and said WOW I feel great. Science is amazing!

Thanks for the post - it helps everyone to know there is hope and a life worth living!

Yours from Across the Pond
