Aneurysm v Insurance

I have an aortic aneurysm which gets bigger by the year - but only by a bit. Travel insurance increased by 100% to > £800 when I told the insurance company. Does anyone have experience of a) slowing the growth down, and/or b) finding a good (cheap) travel insurance for the US?

Cheers. Just wish I hadnt agreed to go and subsequently pay deposit for flight and car.. back to lake district next time. 😢
