hiya. When my husband died 11 years ago I used to do kickboxing, gym, aerobics and gardening. Very active, very healthy. Now I’m diabetic, had a heart attack, have AF, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis had one knee replaced snd on list for other and had gallbladder out! He wouldn’t believe it as he used to say he didn’t know where I got my energy from. lol. My daughter does my housework, son in law does gardening and I’m almost housebound. Weird isn’t it. My dr once said I had PTSD as his death was young and quite traumatic, although expected. Could that have set it all off, who knows. Hope all well with you.

Mums doing so well having lost dad in the week, off to see her shortly. Take care 🦊x

Hi Bingofox007

My, you were active.

I believe there is a connection, though I doubt that'd ever been looked into, but what your Dr said about PTSD sounds very likely when you think about it.

My health went downhill rapidly and still poor.

My thoughts are with you, your dear Mum and sister x

Thank you for your kind thoughts, passed on the mum and sister.

Whether we give so much are to those we are about to lose that we function on pure energy which kept us going then we go to pot when they’ve gone as we suddenly realise we haven’t looked after ourselves?

Take care. 🦊x

No not improved 😟. Like Bingo I was heavily into keeping fit. I enjoyed it. Tap dancing badminton aqua aerobics aerobic dance disco dance swimming for a club etc.. I was diagnosed with PSTD after my daughter died. Everything became a chore & then I became unwell with RD PA & now OA 🙄. Two yrs after her death I had a serious accident which resulted in me having major surgery on my back. Would that have happened if I’d been concentrating 🤷‍♀️

I walk now. I was doing aqua until April this year. This years been tough & my health has definitely gone downhill.

Well done to your mum Bingo.

Thank you. Mums ‘angry’ today. Just home from seeing her. Hosp bed being picked up tomorrow so big lounge change around on the horizon

I’m sure a broken heart does not bode well when trying to keep oneself fit and healthy. We give up on ourselves for a while I suppose, food and exercise loses its importance and as you say, you don’t concentrate and accidents happen. Very serious accidents in yr case.

Our love ones are the magic wand we need to feel better again and it’s not gonna happen that way. Each day at a time.

Take care 🦊x

With myself I do feel it's no happy accident that my IBS has gone into remission since I moved 18 months ago!

My confidence has also improved as well since I moved with setting myself challenges and seeing them through which I have found extremely rewarding!

Saturday night I found extremely rewarding even though I was shattered yesterday when I went out for the evening at the village hall to a Halloween party!

Last night I had an early night and was raring to go this morning and had a nice early start!

Saturday coming it's another event at the village hall seeing a male voice choir in the evening which I am looking forward to and I have booked for an early dinner at the pub across the road!

I remember when I first moved and I was absolutely terrified over going out and decided to take things a step at a time!
