For me personally, yes, it was very hard. I had numerous meltdowns and found myself in the bathroom at work sobbing. Our kids both struggled too.

I’m really sorry that you had to go through that struggle @hilomom. It must have been so painful for your children too.

How are you doing now?

Work usually helps but not always as you’ve experienced, it’s awfully distressing x

yep it’s been pretty bad. Brother in law died just before Christmas & my sis in law, his wife was taken in to hospital two days after C. She’s been pretty poorly. Had an op yesterday & will have another one once they’ve got the infection under control. My youngest son split up with his girlfriend three 3 days before C. He lives with us. Pretty eventful. My husband has been extra moody & difficult however hard I try to raise his mood.

Now we’ve got Covid/flu in the house just great 😡.

On a positive note the day itself was great. My son unexpectedly cooked for us delicious. We went to the pub just for the one drink at lunchtime. Most of the village turned out great atmosphere. Heavy dose of tv & chats with my son.

Oh my goodness Caza so much going on.

Really sad to read about your in-laws and an awful time for your son too.

I was thinking that maybe your husband has tried to be so strong supporting you that he didn’t get to grieve properly himself, and now it’s become too much holding it in, just my opinion x

What I did was I took things a day at a time which I found helped!

I found the run up was expensive and stressful though!
