Ive read that one Chloe. It’s a thriller isn’t it. Dont remember much as it was some time ago. I’m an avid reader & open to all books. The one I started yesterday but didn’t get much read is called The Radium Girls. It’s a true story. I met the author a couple of months ago. Lovely lady & very passionate about her books. It was just sheer coincidence that I’d read her other book. The Woman they could not Silence. Also a true story. Wow I didn’t have clue about this gutsy woman. Absolutely loved this book so I have high hopes for one I’ve just started.
I love crime stories. I'm reading The Shell House Detectives by Emylia Hall. It's very good. It's about a couple of local people who join forces to find a local woman who has gone missing. I also love the cosy crime books by Richard Osmon and the books of Peter James. Happy reading.
I've read the first three of Richard Osman, he's found a good angle to work from, geriatric detectives! Waiting for no.4 in Paperback!
Right now, I'm reading a Young Adult book, Fantasy, called the Godkiller. I'm finding it entertaining but the proofreading could have been better, as it can be difficult to work out who is speaking sometimes.
Must confess that my reading list has not changed were it not for a new entry called Limetown. Hard to get; so my paper copy is slightly damaged. For a few years now i have been trying to finish ones called The Pheonix Project and Overcoming Grief - Thats my topical one.
I had loads & loads of books. Each book I could’ve told you where I was when I was reading it. Every book told my story as well. This year I decided to let them all go. Of course it’s last year now 🙄. A man was opening up a 2nd hand bookshop, so I let him have them all. He was so pleased. Although it was hard I was pleased as well. Can’t keep hanging on to the past.
I like to re-read at times, so I rarely get rid of books. I still have my extremely out of date textbooks from Nursing School! (I trained before it went into Uni.)
HI Chloe. Ihave been a bad reader despite a new Kindle. As an avid podcast fan i looked for a multi media story. My book, Limetown is a prequil to the podcast novel of the same name. SO i'm curious.
Thanks for the thread Chloe. Its a good read in its own right.
