it’s my daughters birthday today. We’re going to have her favourite take away tonight. I’ve sent cake to my grandchildren so that they can think of their aunt on her birthday. Took the dog for a long walk for once the sun was shining. Took flowers to my girls in the crem. So busy day. If I stop & think of the lost years then …….
My mums birthday on the 3rd of Feb.
my sisters on the 7th. We’ve arranged to go out with friends & we’ll raise a glass.
Thinking of you kenster1 Kenny, amazing how quickly this year has gone x
I'm glad that January is nearly finished myself as it's hard going and depressing!
Yep agree. January hasn’t been the greatest start to 2025. A death & illness. Having a dog this weather has been a nightmare. Told my husband that I’m moving back home (London) never seen so much mud. Didn’t mean it love village life just not the mud!!
That's a disadvantage of having a dog is that when it's bad weather you can't tell them no you aren't having your walkies due to bad weather!
Last week at the tapas night in the downstairs bar there were lots of spoilt dogs in there with their owners!
Good news I have booked a night out at the village hall for 15 February which is something to look forward to!
I have found it extremely rewarding building up my confidence to where I am now planning pub crawls and nights out from where I was when I first moved here when I was scared of my own shadow!
My brother's birthday was yesterday. I can remember his birthday because it's the same day as the NASA Challenger tragedy. My brother would have been 58 years old. It's usually a somber occasion in my household. Which is understandable. I'm okay with my brother being gone, but my mom is not. And again, that makes total sense, as he was her only son after all. But she seemed to handle it a lot better this year than in previous years.
