hi Chloe, I’m still really struggling this year. It’s so not like me. Keep thinking about years gone by. How did 23 round the table end up being just two. Got to stop my head going back & snap out of it.

A dog, I’ve always had dogs. They’re great company. Always pleased to see you. You have to be responsible for them. Which means getting up even when you don’t see the point. I’ll tell you a funny story. We had two dogs one got ill before my daughter died & the other one just after. My children & husband thought I needed another dog to get me out of bed. This particular morning I was struggling badly, so I got up put a jacket & boots on over my PJs no hair brushing or teeth nothing. Marched round the park like a mad woman intending to go straight back to bed. On the way back I picked up cans of beer the wrong way up & leftover joints (we lived near the park in a no through rd that the youngsters used to drink & smoke). My husband was being picked up by a potential client , all suited & booted. This is my wife 😱 he held out his hand, I said I’m so sorry, I stink of beer & I’ve been picking up joints. All said in PJs & bed head @7.30am. Husband got the job & I got in the shower!!

No pts not like you at all Caza

I wish I had the answer, I’d love to put things right for you, sadly I don’t.

I’m struggling a bit myself, I’m feeling so nervous about being ill over Christmas, all I want is for Christmas to be over and that’s not fair really but I’m counting the days when normality returns.

Oh my , now that is funny, and I hope you are smiling 😊at you r own words x

Morning Chloe, another sleepless night.

I’m having to go to a get together tonight. Dinner & party games 🤦‍♀️. Just women. I’m dreading it. I’m already making plans to leave early. Just don’t want to go. I cried off the last one so would be really rude to do it again.

I’ll get through it & so will you.

Pleased I made you laugh. True story. Gosh I was quite mad back then. x

Dreading something you can’t get out of is really horrible, but often it turns out that it lifts your spirit, so try to stay calm and get through it as best you can x

Morning Chloe, you were right. It did turn out much better than I expected. I really didn’t want to go & got into a tiss about it. People were pleased to see me & that was so nice. We had fun quizzes. We had masks to try on which were weird but fun. The food was superb. So there you go you were right.

I’ve got lunch & theatre today with a close friend which I’m really looking forward to & family get together on Sunday. One more outing after that then it’s home with the door firmly shut until after it’s all over 😤

Struggling a little bit if I'm honest. My bff is moving away. This is the only friend I have in town and she is moving to a different city. So this will be our last Christmas to meet up and do our annual gift exchange. We have even yet to talk about how to do this exchange because she's been busy getting ready for the move. I'm hoping my anxiety gets better that I can travel to see her to keep the tradition alive. I'm also dealing with a bit of hurt. There was this little stray dog in my neighborhood that I really liked. I would have kept her but my house the back fence has holes in it. We were planning on fixing it but Thanksgiving and such got in the way. Anyways I noticed I haven't seen her around much. Turns out a neighbor had the little dog in her yard. One day as I was walking by I greeted the little dog like I always do. The neighbor opened her front door and asked if I wanted her and said absolutely but I gotta get my fence fixed first. The neighbor told me that was fine and whenever I was ready, I could come for her. Well I eventually got the green light from my partner to get the dog. Last weekend we fixed the fence and I went to the neighbors house and knocked but no answer. Went by again this time left a Christmas card and enquire about the dog and left my number. No calls. Went by again no answer. I knew something was up. My partner tried to reassure me everything was okay. But I knew. Just by happenstance I want to go for an evening walk with my partner. As we were on our way. We see her grandson(?) Getting out and going up to the door. And there's the dog. I called out to her about the dog. And she says that she changed her mind. She's keeping the dog. That she's a real good dog. But I could have her if she ends up going bad with a giggle. I was crestfallen. But I hid it. It's easy to hid tears at night.

I guess I should look on the bright side that the little dog is being looked after. But part of me can't help but be a little upset. It was just a weeks time when she said that to me. I was getting everything ready for that sweet doggy. Now only to return it 😕

Hi CL3V3R-G1RL

Oh, that's a real shame, so sorry this has happened, hopefully you'll be able to keep in contact via Zoom or some other platform.

You must be so disappointed about the dog, I can imagine how excited you must have been anticipating their arrival.

It's not nice to do that to anyone let alone a neighbour.

Had a nice quiet day in yesterday and had fish and chips which we both enjoyed as we hadn't had them for ages and a nice walk out.

Today it's an interview at 11.30am in North Cardiff and swimming later on at 3pm.

Last Saturday it was a Carol service at Penarth pier which I really enjoyed in spite of it being windy there!

Next week I have some job interviews on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so it will be a busy week next week.

Hi Greyone

I'm so pleased you're managing your visits without too much upset. It's wonderful you go so regularly, I'm sure they would have appreciated that.

Season greetings to you @Greyone
