I hate the dark nights. I don’t mind rain although yesterday was horrendous. Does it affect my mood, I’m not sure. I do find the lead up to Christmas hard even though I tried really hard not to let it. Shops are full already 😡

You're so right Caza

The nights are drawing in so quickly, I've had the heating on it's been so hard and damp, it's hard to believe we we had that hot weather only a few weeks ago.

Christmas, I can't even go there <3

I hate dark grey days.Yesterday was awful, being indoors all day was hard.I know some people love Autumn ,not me ,roll on spring. My mum loved Christmas but I dread it every year.

I feel like a miserable old grump!😏

I agree, days like yesterday are depressing as it's impossible to go for a walk, despite having wet weather gear. I try to keep myself occupied and make lists of things to do on these kind of days, I'm not a sit and watch tv type of person. Also the fact that I can't go into friends houses and they can't come into mine. I have just signed up to do some free courses with the OU, which I'm finding very interesting. I also chat to friends and family which helps. X

Hi Floxxy It really is hard to keep busy during these spells and it was just awful yesterday. I bought a mac with the intention of walking more but there is a limit, suffice to say I haven't worn it yet

🙂I love the OU and Autumn/Winter is the perfect time for study, enjoy <3

I love Spring too Sandradsn but I love the autumnal colours if we're lucky enough to live somewhere that has lots of trees and shrubs.

Grump, you? no never <3

That sounds fab Sandradsn Just what you need, that's a long time, so enjoy every moment.

Certainly is good to have something to look forward to, can't think of anything right now though.

Have a great time<3

not sure if it`s seasonal anxiety but summer can get me down and when it`s the darker Autumn winter months we spend more time with the kids at home.

These sort of days do lower the mood and seem longer than usual. Negative thoughts and sadness can hover in the background so the knitting needles are put into action also I find watercolour painting passes time and is very rewarding. I usually sign up to an Open University Course online which also is rewarding There are plenty of subjects to choose from and it keeps the brain cells ticking over in a positive way.

Hi Josephine13halffull Yes,

I totally agree, I like watercolour so that’s something I’ll also do, along with my OU studies hopefully, that will be enough to get me through 😊
