Vivid dreams/nightmares

Does anyone on here have vivid dreams/nightmares that you interact with? I’m plagued with them. Last night I dreamt that my sister was moving NZ without telling me, she wasn’t even going to say goodbye. I was sobbing & feeling utterly lost. Then I told myself (still asleep) that she couldn’t of gone to NZ as she’s dead. More sobbing. I feel absolutely drained today ☹️Does anyone else suffer nightmares?

Hi Caza

Yes, I do too! and it's so scary and upsetting, it drains you the following day too.

All I can think is it's because we haven't as yet processed the loss (whatever that means <3) sounds like a tin of peas if it wasn't so serious for those who suffer it.

Thanks for replying Chloe. It’s bitter sweet because I get to spend time with my loved & lost but I always know that they shouldn’t be there. Not sure anyone who doesn’t get these dreams/nightmares would get how draining & upsetting they are. I’ve been listening to Ed Sheerins new song. Visiting Hours the words are absolutely beautiful. Take a listen.

Caza, so sorry you have these dreams.

Dreams are so strange that people can't find an explanation for them.

My dream about my mum was one, she was living in a flat but the stairs leading down were too small.

The other is I am in the house we both lived in (the building has been redeveloped) and mum says they won't get me out of here.

Anyway, getting back to you I understand how distressing it is and how it can effect your day if you let it.

Keep posting and if I think of anything else I will contact you.

Love and hugs ❤

Thanks for replying. They’re awful aren’t they. My husband doesn’t really get it. He’s says but they are only dreams/nightmares, they’re not real but they are very real. I try not to let them affect my day but sometimes I can’t stop it.

I’m sorry you experience them as well. Take care x
