I'd like to ask another question - does anyone suffer from extremely cold feet (and lower limbs). Ultrasound shows everything OK and skin is warm to touch, however feet etc feel like ice. My mother also suffers from this - she has not been diagnosed as having Behcets but does have aptheous ulcers.

Hi lesleyg, all related to the treatment of Behçet's Disease medications, I know the properties of the kullanmissin pills. Boil in water therapies Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) the mouth of the River. Powder: powder of coriander mixed honey or you know using this.
I am so glad you raised this question. My feet and lower limbs are alays freezing and even now in the middle of summer i am using an electric blanket all night. i am newly diagnosed so had no idea this could be connected to Behcet's. I shall bring it up at my next appointment. Thank you so much.
Sorry I should have added something. Instead of an electric blanket, try getting something like wheat bags and heating them in the microwave (I make my own) - this will stop the whole body getting hot and just target the cold spots - Lesley
I was beginning to wonder if there was a secondary condition. Because of the amount of medications I'm taking I usually get a good night's sleep, however occasionally I get extremely restless legs (on top of everything else).
What part of England do you live in? I live near Wollongong which is about 2 hours from Sydney (at least I can get to good treatment).
Hi lesley..there are quite a number of secondary conditions and restless legs happen to be another one my consultant has added to my very long list. This drives me absolutley scatty and found some releif from Gabbapentin but unfortunately cannot take it all the time as it affects my weakness and breathing.
It was given to try for acute spasm but I noticed it is also a treatment for Restless Legs.
I have sent what I think is a private message to you so when you get it you can reply to me and ask some more personal questions if you like, as these are not displayed publicly...I think!!
Perhaps someone at the Behcets S Society can enlighten us with the private messaging service
I know this was written 5 years ago but if you are still following this then.... I always have cold feet and am now starting to get cold legs as well. The hot water bottle is my best friend. in the evening its always the worst and I have to raise my legs or my feet will turn into little blocks of ice. I do always get cold when I'm still and its always worse with a flare. If I go to bed without a hot water bottle I will start to shiver every minute or so which stops me from sleeping. On the flip side when I wake, especially when I have to pop to the loo during the night (and so get the blood flowing) when I come back to bed my hands will start to heat up, the rest of my body will be cold, especially back and sholders but my hands will start roasting.
