Hello friends so I appear to have developed a painful blister on my perineum! It’s very painful and is almost like a long bulging sore! Has anyone ever experienced this? If so please advise

Hi Chelsann21

You could try some steriod cream to see if this might help. Could this be an ulcer forming or ingrowing hair. Sounds very painful in this particular area.

Chelsann21 Yes unfortantally I have experienced this, I got a medicated ointment from my GP that is called Scheriproct. It contains Prednisolone Caproate 1.9mg and Cinchocaine hydrochloride 5mg and should not be applied to the genital areas only perineum and rectal area Ulcers. Hope this helps, it did help me quite a bit

Hi, yes, I’ve had this more than once and it is not comfortable! I was prescribed OTC Anusol but the one for anti inflammatory. You can buy it in boots and that soothed things. Hope that helps. Best wishes
