Just thought I would generate some debate around my toe, I've read posts about toe issues but I do think sticking up a photo makes it easier for others to give advice.
Gory toe stories please.

Do you think you may have a whitlow on the nail bed hun ?
The picture isn't that clear as the light is shining right on it. Bottom left of nail ?
Maybe a bit of a fungal infection in the nail as well ?
Could you give us some ideas of where it hurts etc so we can disect it a bit more please? LOL
big hugs xx
we need toe get to the bottom of this he he he
thanks xandii have just tried to post another picture.
The nail went dark red/brown and is now going yellowy white and separating from the nail bed.
It matters toe me, lol xxxxxx
Hi Jill - tend to agree with Xandii, also looks very painful!
Mine was very red and I think it was a behcets lesion coming up to the side and slightly under.
I found it helped cutting the nail right back, but think we are talking about two different things.
Are you going to see GP?
Cheers Lesley
PS just had a second look at photo - ouch! Can you get shoes on?
Ok peps have a similar prob with toes dont dig about you will cause more probs!!!! Go and see a podiatarist or chripopodist sorry spelling not my strong point. Gp can advise what to do but the professionals deal with this sort of thing all the time. Had something very similar been struggling for a year would not clear up, went to see a podiatarist refered by my dr she cleared it up in 3 mths. BUT becuase I had had a good dig around trying to sort it myself caused more problems. love and kisses
Thanks guuys...........I have pain in my whole foot, not just my toe. It's odd that this is my left side, and the whole initial neuro episode was weakness and numbness down the left side.
I can get my shoes on, it isn't outrageously painful.but I can't get to the GP until Thursday.
I was very ill around the 20th March and had lots of inflammation in my tongue, my gums...everywhere and even when I am really toasty warm, my feet are so cold they feel wet!
Even though I feel fab when I am laying on my electric blanket but even then my feet are so cold that I am wearing bed socks too.
The nail is now slowly detaching from the nail bed.
I have had a whitlow before on the quick of my fingernail (I was just a kid) but I don't think it is a whitlow.
I'm wondering if I am having reduced blood flow to my extremities??
Love Jill xx
Thanks nicholls when I placed my last post I was unable to read your last post....I always seem to have probs when I use phone to try and reply....lol.
Is it a fungal thing nicholls?
Thanks all for answering ......we are getting closer toe a solution....he he
Hi goodlife
I too have this problem at the moment, have been to chiropodist at £32 a time after spending £96 I went to my GP. She said it is infected and i was put on antibiotics.
It has got worse can't put any pressure on it at all now. I am seeing my GP again this week.
Hope yours is sorted soon
Sharon xx
Like the new picture! Does sound like you need to do something ASAP. Can't get in touch with your specialist?
Lesley
To be honest I am sick to the teeth of going to see the GP...darling that she is.
I will go on Thursday, I just wondered if this was a BD related issue as I never had all this trouble before the BD. I betcha that it is a BD freebie!
