Does anyone know of the best place for treatment for Behcet in India

Hello SeemaLamaba31 - Our Son 30 years age now has Neuro Behcets - we have been recommended Dr. PadmaMalini from Banglore, narayananethralaya.org/doct... Our situation is very grave as doctors here in Canada did not catch the disease early (despite we told them our son is showing signs of B.D., ) please tell all of your symptoms to this docotor, as I have been informed by another B.D. Patient from this Forum that she recognized his disease and prompt attention will be given to you. Our good wishes n prayers for your child.My brotherin law 48 years,a resident of Dallas Texas,had ulcers and some balance problems.He was repeatedly examined in the US for the last 6 months.He was in agony because he fell and fractured 3 ribs .Another time he fell n sustained head injury.After coming to India in first week of June he was examined by a team of doctors including dermatologist n rheumatologist in Artemis hospital Gurgaon.They diagnosed the disease in two sittings.We are told that Dr Sumeet Agarwal,rheumatologist is/has handled a number of B.D cases.His blood tests reports are awaited.The hospital has a good neuro team also.

Thank you so much. Dr. Gulsen Akmar-Demir in Istanbul Turkey is world specialist in this Neuro Behcets Disease as well. We wish to seek her help as well, as she is widely written articles online and truly this disease is associated with Turkish population in highest prevalance followd by Iran, and thus we lead into that HLAB5/51 Genetic disposition - I will note this team as well in India, but I urge you to contact Dr. Gulsen Akamr-Demir as well pending the recommendations in India, or at least mention to them Her name - she is colleage of Dr. Hussain Yazicizi - world's leading NBD doctor...in Turkey - not too far from India, the Cerraphasa Medical clinic University is excellent and highest regard in this disease...good luck....
