How long does a jaydess coil last

I had the coil fitted on the 19th of may 2019 by a male nurse who didn’t fit coils on a regular basis. He was filling in for a doctor who had taken leave. He measured my cervix and told me it’s short and that I needed the jaydess coil as it was smaller. After I got it fitted he handed me a card with the removal date on it which says 2024 so 5 years from then.

I never thought to read up on the jaydess as I haven’t had a problem. However it’s just come to my attention now that it says they only last 3 years. Is this true? 🥲
