Contraceptive that’s easily reversible for conceiving & doesn’t suppress libido

Just wanting to know if there’s an alternative to Microgynon combined pill that doesn’t ruin your sex life and is easy to stop when wanting to conceive. We are wanting to have another baby next year but obviously wanting a short term contraception which allows me to enjoy my sex life rather than making excuses or doing “the deed”. I’ve found that the microgynon, following my last pregnancy, has reduced the amount of times we have sex and don’t want anything long term just yet. Are the progesterone only pill any good?

I was on the progesterone only pill. It did not help me at all with my heavy periods. It actually made them last longer! My sex drive went way down & my appetite went up. I only took for 3 months then stopped .

Everyone is different. There are different combined pills apart from Microgynon, I would discuss with the GP or a reproductive health clinic. How about non hormonal method like the IUD ? Fertility returns immediately when removed.
