Doctor said I didn’t have a tilted uterus and everything was healthy but when she tried to put the coil in she couldn’t get it through my cervix without it bending.
The long stick they use to see where it has to go went in fine but she just said it was curving around an unusual amount couldn’t get the coil through. She said my cervix was unusually tight and I had an “unusual cavity” so now I have to have a scan to see what is wrong with my uterus.
Has anyone else ever had this happen?
Does anyone have any ideas what this might be?
Scan won’t be for a few weeks and I quite am worried about it.

Depending on your age it could be fibroids, also if this is your first coil fitting, its possible you might have a slight anatomical variation that makes the coil insertion tricky. However if the probe went in ok ( to measure the womb size ) then that's unlikely. Might just be bad luck on the day ! Fitting a coil can be tricky sometimes. There are different copper coils so maybe that would help. The scan will just ensure its safe and easy to fit.
