Baby constipated

I have a 14 month old girl she has been constipated for over 2 months now i thought it could have been with food change and teething i brought her to my gp and he gave her movicol but she will only poo if she has the movicol in her system if not she would struggle alot to go this has been the first time shes been like this from she has been born so im not sure what to do

Have you tried prunes or prune juice? And is she drinking plenty of water throughout the day? I’d stick with the Movicol and try the prunes if you haven’t already xx

I got her prune juice and it didnt seem to help much she would drink water more than anything, i just dont want to keep relying on the movicol to help her go all the time Thank you for replying!xx

Pears are good for constipation. You can buy / make a purée and put it in porridge or yoghurt. Also, have a look to see if any of the foods your daughter eats can cause constipation. I remember learning that bananas can cause constipation so I gave my LG a break from bananas and gave her pears and it helped.
