We are all so different but this works for me wonderfully.,

For weeks now I’ve had a really dry mouth and nothing I drank could quench my thirst and speaking was really hard.

My speech therapist mentioned trying Oralieve Gel - this worked but I have found d their pump much easier x

Thank you so much Litty, I’m going to look into this for my next ‘attack’. I get a dry mouth but also a really horrible taste in my mouth if I use anything other than bog standard Colgate. I’ve tried all sorts of different toothpastes, the fancier the worse it is (including sensitive toOthpastes). I brush my teeth with bicarbonate of soda now (don’t try it with baking powder), it doesn’t taste nice at the time like toothpaste but my mouth feels so much better and my teeth cleaner.

Lol - I sound like an advert for Oralieve - to try everything I had a starter kit - gel, pump, toothpaste, mouth wash and lip balm.x

I find I have a severe dry mouth a lot of the time, and yes, it affects my speech too. I mentioned this when I saw the GP, and he prescribed a saliva type spray, I found this worked. Cannot think what its called tho, as I hardly use it , I just tend to use sugar free Polo's, as am diabetic too

Dear Litty

I suffer from a dry mouth and it has a huge impact on my speech to the point that I avoid speaking to people later in the day. I didn’t realise that a dry mouth was a medical condition. I have ordered some Oralieve. Thanks 😍
