CEA Card

I’m unsure if anyone knows about this but thought I’d share it on here. I came across this scheme whilst on the Ataxia uk Facebook page, it’s a scheme that allows a disabled person & one carer into the cinema for the price of one. They also have certain adaptations for different needs. It’s a fabulous thing to help you get out & about. Here’s the link to it.

Very useful 👍 I used to enjoy going to the cinema, but I haven’t been able to go for several years. The noise, bright screen, and sitting in darkness for too long play havoc with my specific symptoms. But, this is a handy link 🙂 xB

Hope it helps to get you back there & enjoying it once again, there’s lots of things they can do to help it more comfortable for you & for £6 I think it’s definitely worth it😊

Are you not on any benefits at all? If you click on the link there’s a list of the different types of evidence they accept.

I have a CEA card and use it regularly so I can go to the cinema with friends without it I wouldn't go to cinema so often. They also have relaxed screenings ie Keep lights on dim throughout the showing

Without a card my local venue (Brewery Arts centre) gave a carer friend of mine a complimentary seat. The BAC have a policy and disabled space in their auditorium. The BAC are exemplary. I judge all other venues against them. They score 11/10.

There is also the Access Card for live music, theatre and many, many other places that accept it. They do not always require disability benefits as proof.
