Hi
I am new to this forum. I have to attend a PIP assessment at Physioworld Ilford. Has anyone from this forum been there for an assessment and if so what was it like.

Just wanted to say welcome to the site. I only "moved in" a couple of months ago and the neighbours are fantastic.
Hi cymruralf. I am a newly as well. I would like to more about a PIP assessment as well.
I was invited to apply for PIP in early October, have yet to hear anything from them, how long after you sent the forms back did they contact you for an assessment?
thank you, mine was also to be submitted by October 9th, so I should expect to be contacted soon!
Have an assessment for Monday November 9th, what do they want to know?
Hi Nigel
Firstly not the easiest of places tp park near, fortunately my daughter dropped me and the wife off outside so it was only about 10yards to walk to the reception. My daughter then went and found a parking place. We rang her to come and pick us up when we finished.
There were no particular format to the questions mainly open questions like tell me about the good days and the bad days. Response all days were bad, there are no good days. General chat about day to day care etc. They do not tell you the results but send their report to the DWP for them to assess.
I also took copies of statements from my GP and neurologist.
If you want to e mail me It is probably easier than the forum,
Colin

Hi, I have an assessment next Monday (16th) and I was just wondering do they make you do anything? (such as get up and show them how you walk)
Hi
They didn't on my assessment but I am sure they watch you when you go in and out. There was no physical check. As Nigel says they basically went over the PIP application form
I am still waiting for form to fill in so is my sister we both have Friedreiches Ataxia(diagnosed 1989) so it's been à gradual deteration, now in a wheelchair I know it's going to come sooner or later
Awful
i have my pip assessment tomorrow at home as walking is very difficult for me, my balance is awful but I do go to armchair yoga to exercise my upper arms, is going against me as I also have rheumatoid arthris as well as ataxia?
