Hi, does anyone have any experience with this 'spectacular supplement'?

It boasts some big claims eg

'Natures most potent anti-oxident'

Eases Inflamation, eye trouble, skin trouble, joint health, aches and pains, good for the Brain and ANS ....' To name a few.

Sounds like I need it but has any Ataxians tried it?

Hi willywonka Astaxathin sounds too good to be true I always think that if these various treatments were

so good our N H S would be looking at them however it may be something you should ask your G P

Probably most 'Ataxians' have read about various tablets and even paid for some of them but probably

with no good results other than to make the supplier rich

good luck but keep smiling Ted

Ive not heard of this but am going to look into it. Dont rely on the NHS to be aware of vitamins or alternative therapies - its not something that NHS doctors are taught about as they are completely different disciplines - the NHS also takes a long time to take up new ideas. Especially with rare conditions you need to become your own expert and research for yourself. I have seen many people who could benefit from alternative therapies or vitamins not doing so because their doctor hasnt recommended it! The truth is they cant because they arent aware themselves and even if they were they probably wouldnt without evidence based trials! I would have been very very ill now if I had waited for my doctor to figure out my condition of gluten ataxia and without finding out for myself what works and what helps!! Gill

As you say sounds like the answer to our prayers. Why have I never heard of it? Could it have some to do with the countless people who would be out of a job?

Hi. Since replying earlier I googled Astaxathin and it is quite

Interesting reading some of the reviews. Some good and some not so good. Perhaps you will hear from someone who has tried

It. Ted

Yes I've read lots of good and hardly any bad. May be worth a try! A bit more energy and quicker muscle recovery will do me nicely! It's quite expensive but iherb do it half price (if you don't get stung by Import duty).
