You`ll have to translate into English what it says on the image jurgen :-) I have a good idea, but it`s been a lot of years since I last visited your country and I`m a bit rusty now.

meaning of the sign:

being daft does not mean you´re handicapped, as well

park your car some other place

Thanks. I thought it said being "stupid". I was close but as I said it's been a long time since I visited Germany (Hamburg) and Sprechen Sie Deutsch.

Well, I understand the disabled symbol on the ground but I wouldn't

like to try and interpret the sign :-)

I don't have a Blue Badge (UK disabled driver). I downloaded the pages

from my local authority but didn't see any point in sending it in due to

the criteria you have to meet. If I can walk the distance I need to, I go

out, if not I stay in.

I know I'm lucky in being able to make that choice, some people just

have to get by themselves somehow. But, if I know I definitely qualify,

I will apply for a badge :-) xB

I do qualify for the blue badge but a wheelchair taxi (Deans) gets me from point A to point B and they are a very reliable firm. And for hospital visits I book the ambulance transport.

Years ago, when I was trying to get a diagnosis, I went for a hospital

appointment. My head was all over the place, and being by myself

I looked for a parking space that was easy to get out of.

I found one on the end of a line of spaces and put money in the nearest

meter. On my return to the car I found I'd been issued with a ticket for

parking in a disabled space. Moving one space further up the line would

have made all the difference.

True to form with Ataxia you don't always notice the obvious :-) xB
