I feel like my hearts slowing down and my head goes fuzzy, neurologist suggested 'sugar dumping syndrome'' something to do with metabolism and gastric surgery. Anyone heard of it?

Body slowness
Hi pennypoop!
Sometimes I feel as though it takes me all day just to turn around,
I'm so slow I feel like I'm liable to stop! Very lethargic and foggy
headed at times, I would be frustrated about this, if only I had the
energy and concentration!
The nearest thing I've had to gastric surgery, was having my gall
bladder removed.
If you've been checked out by your GP and no cause is found, just
go with the flow till it passes. xBeryl
Coffee usually brings me round!
I'm often very slow and things seem to take so much energy. I think i managed to do a few little things in the day and then realise it took me about three hours to do - before would have taken me about 15 minutes. Often have brain fog too. If i eat a good meal I feel better, but not faster. I find that a really good sleep helps too. But I've never heard of "sugar dumping syndrome" though. My advice is Rest, eat well and do things only that are important or for pleasure. Easy to say not so easy to do.......
Dear Pennypoop, Yes, I've heard of "sugar dumping", but don't have any personal experience and have never had a gastric surgery. I'm extremely slow in my movements and often foggy-headed, but I think that's part of having ataxia. I feel better when I eat healthy and exercise regularly. What does your neurologist suggest for you? ;o)
Eat little and often, every 2hrs and drink half hr before and after. If I did that there wouldn't be any time left for other stuff!
Sorry P.P. - haven't heard of this - but I'm sure someone else has - hang on in there!
If it is of any comfort to anyone - I have foggy-headedness every day! - and I don't have Ataxia!....(but am in my 70's!) I only know that drinking more water should alleviate this problem....I try to remember - and when I do - yes it does help.
Hi pennypoop!
I'd never heard of Sugar Dumping Syndrome, I googled it and was
really surprised to see so many results come up! There is helpful
advice out there. xB
