Inner body 'rattling'?

Does anyone else with ataxia suffer from 'rattling' inside their brain and body when going into/out of sleep? It feels like Im being shaken every time I close my eyes and it makes me feel sick. These 'dos' seem to happen in pharses for 2-3 days then disappear for weeks.

sort of. I notice it mostly when I watch TV. I can watch something quite4 hapily, then, if it's repeated a few days later, I can watch, and remember most. Some sections, maybe quite long, I won't remember at all. I never rattle thou, sorry.

Hi Pennypoop!

Casting my mind back, at one time I remember being aware of something similar.

It's been a while, so sorry I can't be specific. So many of these irritations come

and go, just when you think you've got to grips with something, it disappears and

you've got to get your head around something else!

I notice a 'cycle' in this condition.

Hi Pennypoop, I was diagnosed with Sporadic Cerebellar Ataxia (unknown cause) 10 years ago. It affects my gait/balance, dexterity, speech and swallowing. I've never experienced the inner body "rattling" that you do. If you haven't already, I would speak to your neurologist about this "symptom", as maybe he/she can shed some light on this. My best to you..., ;o)

My neurologist has just about wiped his hands, he's done all the tests and stilll no nearer to giving diagnosis or even answers, so perhaps juat something else to get to grips with! Life's, funfilled (or not!) with obstacles and nusiances!

I don't have rattling exactly, but just before i go to sleep I have a sort of pulsating feeling throughout my whole body. Can occur at other times too. I forgot to mention it at my recent neuro appt. There seems to be so many different things happening to my body. However, at my appt i did mention that i have often 2-3 days of bad vertigo and i can't do anything and feel really sick unless i don't move at all. Apparently this is a form of migraine. He gave me zolmitriptan for migraines and so far if i take it quickly enough seems to work - haven't had the extreme veritgo that rests for days since. Still have vertigo and feel sick with certain movements but that passes - think its not the same thing.
