I have recently been put onTrimbow inhaler by my doctor. I would be interested in knowing what other members experience has been using Trimbow. Also how long does it before it takes effect.

look forward to your replies 😊

Good morning H. I’ve been on trimbow for about a year now. To be honest I can’t see any difference

Hi OSHA, thankyou for your reply. I was previously on Spiolto Respimat which I found quite good. My doctor has now placed me onto Trimbow, I have only been using it for a couple of days and to be honest it doesn’t seem to be as effective as Spiolto at this point of time. Maybe it will take a few more days of use before I feel any benefit. Can you let me know your experience with Trimbow.

Cheers.

It may take up to 3 weeks to completely take effect, sorry I haven't tried trimbow however, if you write it in the search bar you'll see previous posts and replies about it. Also lots of information on the leaflet. Good luck with it. P

My respiratory nurse suggested I try it as I have asthma and COPD but after a few days my peak flow went down .

I consulted my pharmacist as it was a Saturday , and she told me to contact the nurse on Monday . The Nurse thought I might have an exacerbation so stop Trimbow for a while , then go back to it . She listened to my concerns , I decided to stick with my 2 inhalers for now.

Other people do well on it

I’d also be interested to know how others have got on with it. My respiratory nurse keeps pushing it but I’m reluctant to change.

I've been using Trimbow for nearly 3 years. I was told it takes at least 3 weeks to start working. It has been a game changer for me, my peak flow going to a normal reading. The first time for 5 years, so yes it's worked for me and the only inhaler I need now.

Thanks for your reply Suzie, what you have described in your experience with Trimbow has given me a lot more confidence to use this inhaler.

Yes give it a good go. We are all different and although I'm good with it others cannot get on with it at all, but lije i said it takes a few weeks to take effect. I really hope it helps you

Hi there Suzie ,I have been on trimbo for ages years now and I am the same as you , sometimes a get chest infections and need antibiotics but my peak flow is about 92-97 which is very good considering a few years ago I struggled to get to 90, mind you I had a lung reduction and that was marvellous I could breath so well but then two months after my lung that was operated collapsed, which sent me back to square one. But I have noticed that my peak flow is much higher than a few years ago.

I’ve been in Trimbow, but the higher dose for about 9 months and find it a lot better than the Seretide I took before. I have asthma, bronchiectasis and ABPA so did get very breathless and although I still do it is better maintained

I have 2 puffs at morning and 2 puffs at night plus my carbocistene 3 times daily ans my salbutamol reliever I thought that would be enough.

Hi. It didn't work for me. My night time symptoms returned and my cough got worse. But we are all different, some inhalers work fir some folk, but not for others.

Hi, I'm new here, I read the site each day but this is my first time posting!I've been on trimbow for 2 weeks, after trying others, for me it worked within a couple of days. My cough has been better, particularly at night. I'm not as breathless, especially when going upstairs and my wheezing has disappeared. I have COPD.

I hope you get some relief from it soon.

Hi there,

I was changed to Trimbow from Fostair and Spiraeva. I found it had an immediate effect but it wore off by mid afternoon when I struggled. It didn’t last until the 2nd dose. There was a lot of pressure to stay on this and worked out that this was probably due to cost with it being a fraction of the price of the two I had been on. Back to my original meds.

I was changed from Trelegy to Trimbow 6 weeks ago and it's ended up giving me a cough during the day and evening, and I am convinced my breathing is worse when I take it. Spoken to the nurse and she said that it's the best inhaler available to me and they can't offer me anything else. So I am obviously not happy. Brian

I had a spell in hospital in September where I was put onto Trimbow as it was the only one stocked in the pharmacy. Previously I was on Fostair and Braltus. I am happy with Trimbow and have not had a flare up since I started using it.

I was prescribed Trimble 8 years ago and have been taking it ever since. I have only had one chest infection since I started it which is amazing. Works great for me but not everyone is the same.
