My nurse/practitioner advised this after copd check I couldn’t believe the stomach pain I got but was told all medicines have side effects so soldiered on when my bowel started playing up and as I have uc I stopped the inhaler stomach pain stopped but the inhaler had caused a flare up of my uc I haven’t had one in over 2yrs a friend rang she’d been given same Trimbow inhaler and was crippled with stomach pains stopped it on my advice and went back right this inhaler might help with breathing problems but is definitely irritating stomach and bowel I am writing this from an hospital bed where I’ve been for the last 10 days

I have heard the side effects from Trimbo can be quite nasty. It makes me question whether they actually read all through our medical notes before they prescribe drugs like this. Sorry you have had such a bad effect from this and to end up in hospital as well! Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope you can go home soon. X

Sorry to know you're in the hospital. I hope you're able to go home soon. Trimbow seems to work wonders for some people, and have terrible effects on others. Each time I hear something good about it I think I want to ask my doctor if I can try it, then each time I hear a horror story about it I think I'm glad I'm not taking that. Each medication has its own advantages and undesirable side effects but with Trimbow it seems to be extremes.

Thankyou what seems to upset me more is doctors telling patients it’s IBS which it isn’t

I didn't have stomach pains from Trimbow, but it made my breathing much worse, which kind of defeats the object. It also made me feel generally unwell. I came off it after 15 days, been fine since. I understand other people have had very positive results from it though, we're all different.

I’m sceptical about any good report about it patients must have strong stomachs

Trimbow didn’t help me at all but neither did it make me ill! I was on it for at least a year but as from this week it’s been replaced with Ellipta a powder inhaler. So far so good 😀
