Trimbow Inhaler

Have recently been prescribed Trimbow 87/5/9 which is working well, it has however changed my voice which is now “husky” or maybe hoarse is a better word, either way is this a normal potential side effect? I do rinse my mouth and throat after use.

I brush my teeth before using it I have no idea if it helps I just find it easier to use after I have fresh breath 😅

I saw an ENT doctor for my throat and he said I needed to steam twice a day and that would help hoarseness, I haven't tried it yet as been to warm 😊

I found the same but it does go im now on the higher dose I found same with that one but dosnt last long Trimbow is a good inhaler so worth putting up with the change in voice it will go back to normal sometimes I would suck on a cough sweet

The same happened to me. A good rinse of the mouth and gargle after using helped me.

if you gargle & rinse your mouth it should make your voice normal 😊

I haven't noticed a change in my voice. I always clean my teeth and use my mouthwash after using Trimbow xx

I have this problem with Trelegy and thought it was because it’s a powder so asked to change to a liquid. Trimbow gave me side effects. My voice is getting worse so I can’t go to choir.

I have dry bronchiectasis and never found inhalers to do anything for me, however consultant recently prescribed Trelegy Ellipta 92/55/22, once daily. I believe this is a different proportion , designed for bronch. So far, it’s been really useful for the breathing, but has led to a significant increase in hoarseness(which I already had to some degree) I rinse, gargle, brush teeth and brush gums (with soft brush) immediately after use but it doesn’t seem to help. Hoarseness getting really embarrassing and uncomfortable. Any other suggestions?

hi Superfly1975. I was prescribed Trimbow just under 2 months ago and had the same issue. I still get some hoarseness but it has improved from when I first started using it. I do still get some hoarseness but the good thing is that the trimbow has improved my breathing. Hopefully it will improve your breathing too. Always rinse after every use though definitely. Good luck 😊

I've been on both lower and higher dose trimbow. I have found them very good . I sometimes get a sore mouth if only gargle but usually clean my teeth and everything seems to be fine. Not noticed any other issues.

Hi - have been on Trimbow for a year or two. Never suggested I should rinse m y mouth or throat and so have never done so. Unless no one has noticed I am unaware of any change to my voice.
