I do sympathise Redrum. Infections generally seem to be worse this year, so much going around. I too have been bad since the end of September and had all sorts of tests and they all come back negative. Doesn't change how I feel though. Do hope you have better luck than me in getting help for whatever it is. Roll on warm dry weather! Sally xx

Hello! With lung disease, you really need to try to stay away from people with an infection. I avoid being in the same space as a lot of people, especially in the winter, when infection rates are high.

Good luck xx

A well fitted FFP3 mask when you are sharing breathing space with other people will protect you from airborne infections. Also, increase ventilation where you can (eg open windows). Costly but useful: CO2 monitor to check indoor air quality will give you an indication of the likely concentration of airborne pathogens and help you decide how best to mitigate against the risk. HEPA filters are also a useful tool to fight airborne infections (eg when household members are ill). Good luck and best wishes for a better respiratory health.

It’s soul destroying to know that respiratory viruses are slowing killing us, and destroying our mental health. Of course sending our ocd into overdrive also. I wish I didn’t have progressive lung disease at 40 years of age.
