I was diagnosed with bronchiecstasis a year ago and after multiple infections have just started nebulising colomycin. My lungs are managing to tolerate it but I had a really dry mouth and can taste the colomycin all the time (not just when nebulising). I also have sinus problems and have bad post nasal drip and can taste the colomycin in this. Does anyone else have this problem? I can't find anyone else who has had any major problems with it apart from their lungs not tolerating it. Will the taste not be as strong as my body gets used to it?
Many thanks for reading

I find all of the drugs give me a very dry mouth, oral abs strip the skin from my lips and mouth. Some of the nebulised abs have a taste. It's par for the course..I use biotene mouthwash before bed and in the day when I need it and biotene gel if I wake in the night with a very dry mouth.
Thanks for replying. I don't mind the taste as I'm nebulising but I find there is an awful chemical taste in my mouth all day and night. I just wondered if this is the norm? It's affecting my appetite as all my food tastes awful.
