Had a quick look and will read it in full later. I've been wondering how you are, as well as can be I hope.

Yes would love to say I am healthy but not so lucky. last year I did 1 year without any antibiotics! So lockdown helped there and shows other people give me my bugs etc. But with 2 stays in AMU last year I have now got 3 new conditions!

You do seem to have more than your fare share. Wishing you well in spite of it all xx

As long as I keep taking my 23 tablets a day and 6 puffs of my inhalers excluding Ventolin I will keep going ;)

Hey, I will read through properly when I have time, but it looks like a great piece! Hope you’re doing ok?!

When I was fit it never bothered me at all.

Great piece, Offcut. What better illustration could you get for asking the NHS for more joined-up thinking and diagnosing, than your story.

My biggest obstacle was my GP surgery at the start. But it took an A&E doctor sending a nasty letter to the surgery to look at me with more than one comorbidities. They do classify me as a (PAIN ;) ) "Complicated"

I was only thinking yesterday that I'd like the medics to see me as a whole person, rather than a lung case, a heart case, an ENT case or a stomach case! We don't all have just one thing wrong with us, do we?

You've clearly illustrated the need for them to see beyond their specialisms and if they could have worked together, you may have had a better outcome.

Well done for putting that together.

Sheffield who deal with my IPAH do that and take into account my unrelated problems and conditions.

That's a great assessment. Shows the need for more flexible thinking by the medical profession.

Thank you it has been a bugbear of mine for some years now

Thank you for that. I think this can be a common problem when two areas are involved. It was an informative read and I hope the heart and lung people are able to work together. Take care. X

I can only hope. I am afraid my local Cardiologist is not one of the nicest of people

I have just read your story properly! Goodness, you really have been through heaps! I’m glad you were able to write it! It really helps to educate people about how it is to live with multiple chronic illness and the difficulties of lack of communication between medical teams sometimes!

I hope you’re relatively ok for the moment? I haven’t spotted you around for a while!

Dee 😊

I am still about but with Lockdown etc. I have not had much to say as I have been nowhere! I did not need ABs at all in lockdown untill I went out more and got a chest infection! ( However I did end up in A&E then AMU twice and got 2 more conditions to add to my growing list)

Oh no! I’m really sorry to hear you’ve gained more conditions to add to your list! It’s amazing how we’ve managed to miss the chest infections and as soon as we’re out and about again, we collect them again. Take care!
