Birds of wisdom-15
Loved the peacock,so majestic. Reminds me when my Nana used to work at Torquay Zoo and they would be roaming around free. We'd often be lucky enough to find a fallen feather with the "eye" on it. Wonderful colours. Thank you for reminding me of times past that were thoroughly enjoyed.
The weather here ( Surrey) has gone from bright and sunny this morning to heavy showers and chilly so the central heating is back on!!
Ah the lovely peacock. We are still here but not a nice day. Xxxx
Peacocks are pleasant on the eye when showing off, but are the most screechingly bad tempered birds on the planet IMHO. I used to visit people who had them lose in the garden. I would leave my car well away from their scratching claws and have my brolly at the ready walking up to the house.
Yup. And all that strutting and preening.
Lovely.
Bah!!
A friend of mine lives in a village where the owners stop looking after their peacocks. They have been breeding and running riot in people's gardens. She said they make a terrible mess.
