Spoke to our doctor tonight not just about letter but because my husband has become unwell. Antibiotics and steroids for him. I did ask him about the letter he said your doing all that is says in the letter. The most important thing is if you become unwell you contact us. He is getting a replacement rescue pack sent to him through a pharmacy. I spoke to the receptionist when I phoned first time and within half an hour the doctor had phone us . Very impressed with this service today. Just hope the antibiotics and steroids work .

Got the impression form doctor today our patients we will deal with them. I have moaned about our doctors before but they seam to be stepping up to the plate .Hope you and Pete keep well . It great to speak to people on this site especially now we are all isolating x

It’s difficult now isn’t it to have health problems taken seriously with coronavirus taking hold. It’s great that your doctor is looking after your husband.

We’re doing well thank you and staying home. It’s great to chat on here and stay in touch with everyone.

Wishing you both well. Stay safe. Xxxxx

I’ve registered with Gov.uk. I suspect I’m not considered vulnerable enough. I haven’t had a chest infection at all since I first became ill (touch wood) but with rare ILD and daily steroids, which I’ve been on for 9 months at different doses, I can’t have much immune system. So who knows? I might contact GP next week

I know I'm on the vulnerable list as75 yrs young lol severe COPD only 30% lung function

My Respiratory team have told me I am one of the 1.5 million on total Lockdown. Dont need a letter I know what to do. A lot of my friends also have not received a letter

People in their 80,s here have not received letters. I live in Wales maybe its only England received them.keep safe x Sheila

alyvonne,

We are trapped abroad in Spain (Canries) I have the same rescue pack as you husband. Have already had to top up meds at an horrendous price from the local pharmacy. Her's hoping that the rescue pack sees him thro'.

If however he does do not hesitate to ring the surgery again.
