Hi David. What a let down to happen after your 2018 op. I must say you sound like you are dealing with this latest news quite admirably and that is going to stand you in very good stead. Having a positive attitude like that will make a lot of difference to your recovery from treatment. Don't let it grind you down!
I have to say that, the nodule/tumour apart, your lungs look very good indeed, unlike mine that show black space and devoid of structures. If you did not know, the CT scan images are always shown from below, as viewed from the feet. So as you probably already know, that nodule/tumour to be in your top ,left lobe towards the rear, left quadrant. Did you have an additional PET Scan to see how active the nodule/tumour is?
Hiya, back in August 2018 I had a PET scan at the Beatson Cancer unit and it came back 100% cancer hence why they removed the two nodules however they contained fibrosis-phnomeo and aspergilliousus.
Now this thing has grown, on the 19th they are going into see what's going on, they say the aspergilliousus is eating away at the inside of the lung.
If it's no too bad they shall take biops then start me on treatment, if it's really bad they say they will need to remove a third of the top right lung.
As for the CT scan, I've got bullos emphysema in both lungs, in 2018 prior to the removal of the two nodules-lung tissue and large bullie in the middle of the lung, my FEV1% was 92% now its 87%. with a DLCO of 63% (all double dutch to me).
I feel great, exercise 2 times per day, no smoking since 2010, eat good with spoil times lol.
Focused on the future, positive thoughts, my moto is die with it not of it π
