Landed in hospital after choking on phlegm and unable to stop coughing. Very distressing. Another COPD flare up. Lung infection. Waiting for ct scan then hopefully escape! Been here 3 days.

Thank you all, I got a bad fright, thought my head was going to burst. Got ventolin nebuliser 5 at the hospital followed by awful,pain in my chest and heart racing. Not too keen on ventolin that way but eventually it helped. Taking blood from my wrist was very painful but gets better results for COPD. Because I've had 8or 9 exacerbations in a year they are looking for a fungal infection not surprising when I get oral thrush after prednisolone. Home now and going back for Ct scan and then to see a consultant. First time in 10 years. Not sleeping well thanks to steroids but lovely to get into my own bed. Thanks for all your kindnes.
