Should you have TWO flu jabs this winter? It seems the trusted injection wears off faster than we think.

Earlier this year, Professor Stanley Plotkin, a pioneer of vaccines, revealed that he has two flu jabs. The 87-year-old, from the University of Pennsylvania, has one in early autumn, followed by another in December each year. The reason? The trusted flu jab, it seems, wears off far faster than we think.

British experts agree that Prof Plotkin, a key player in the development of some of today’s lifesaving immunisations, including rubella, may be on to something.

Yes doing fine thank you, was supposed to be working today but had to come back home due to technical problems, a machine breakdown.

I have already had my "free" jab at the end of Sept but will consider paying the £11.50 for another at end of Dec, as you say you can't put a price on health. Other than that bout of Pneumonia in Oct, I have had a chest infection each year in Jan or Feb since being diagnosed and would like to avoid it, especially with even a mild dose of the flu, which I had last year.

Yes i tend to get a headcold most years, Seems to be a daily event in a morning when i get up at present, Tend to be ok once i have a hot drink, Luckily never had a chest infection yet, But will wrap up warm to help myself hopefully, Still feeling good since my pacemaker op, And no meds for my C.O.P.D
