Yes, it's true! Just like the busses, things always come in threes! So now, to add to the broken wrist and the bruised bum, my dearly beloved and I have both gone down with this rotten winter bug. Not COVID, not Flu - just the chest infection and generally feeling rubbish!
But we're still functioning (just about) and don't yet need to call for the cavalry.
His Man Flu is obviously FAR worse than mine, but I'll let him off ' cos he's 80 now and so thinks he's entitled to a little wallow. 🤣 (No doubt Don will have something to say about that!)
The good news is that we haven't lost our appetites and we've already got the Christmas choccies in!! Yay! There's always a silver lining, I say, and if chocolate's involved, I'm happy to go with that one.
Yesterday, I felt the steroids and antibiotics were doing something as I felt better after starting them on Monday, but today that bubble seems to have burst!
At least we don't need to go out for anything and have family, friends and neighbours who will make sure we won't be chewing the carpet in starving desperation!
The big question of the day is whether or not my dearly beloved will survive another night as I had to abandon the bed at 5am due to his snoring! I'll come back to you on that one! 🤣
I now feel satisfied that we've had our three pre-Christmas disasters so should be fine by the big day and super fine in time to see in the new year.
Forgive my ramblings but hubby's not in the right frame of mind to listen to my nonsense (especially the snoring bit 'cos apparently he doesn't snore and it's a figment of my imagination!).
Hope you are all keeping away from the nasty bugs out there - well, most of you anyway, I know some have already got things going on.
All the best and I'll try and stay out of trouble for the foreseeable future!
😉❤️Xx Moy
