Hi all, just been put on a new inhaler for my COPD, Doctor given me Spiriva Respimat and I've been having dry mouth and dry throat, almost to the point of losing my voice since using Spiriva. Has anyone got any solutions or tips how to deal with this, any advice would really be helpful.

I carry a bottle of water with me everywhere and sip it as soon as my mouth starts to feel dry. I also use Xylimelts sometimes at night, to stop waking up with a mouth like the bottom of a parrot's cage.

Been on spiriva 10 years+ remember to rinse after every use and keep a bottle of water/juice available. Tangy fruit sweets or a packet of mints will also refresh the mouth when you're out and about if you haven't got fluid immediately available. Hope this helps and best of luck with your spireva. It's been a life saver to me.
