Bone scan

Went for bone density scan today been told very low also have at least 4 fractures of spine and spine out of line in 2 places having to wait now to see consultant but hopefully now may be able to get some decent pain killers as back been in agony for months

Have you been diagnosed with osteoporosis Jean? Pete takes a tablet every Monday as he has loss of bone density in his hips and back yet he was told his back problems were not because of the osteoporosis. I do hope you get the right treatment and medication and wish you well. Xxxx

Thankyou have got it in my hands was given leaflets today so I guess so all I want now is something to get rid of pain as I suffer a lot with my lower back just wait now to see a consultant

Oh my! I hope you get the appropriate medication. I have osteoporosis (back, hips, knees) L5 disc in my back is not so clever and have pain on standing or bending. If you have 3 fractures I dread to think what your pain level has been. I was offered morphine but it makes me sick so I stick to cocodamol 30/500. Unfortunately these can make you sleepy. Wishing you all the best.

Thankyou cocodamol not doing a lot pain in lower back nearly all the time hopefully now I have results doctor might precribe something a bit stronger
