I take clenil preventative inhaler and ventolin as needed and started 3 days ago with horrible cough virus that feels like it’s at the top of my chest in the middle. I’m coughing up pale yellow mucus don’t feel like I’ve got a temperature but feel tired and under the weather.
I’m taking paracetamol hot drinks and ventolin as needed. Would it be wise to up my clenil too? I currently take x2 puffs x2 a day?

It’s a pain but my advice would be to see your GP tomorrow and get it checked out... it’s quite common for viruses to trigger off asthma issues so you may need a short course of prednisolone to get through it (you don’t want to end up in hospital with it!). You can ask then about doubling up your preventer as well if you have never been advised to in the past (as doubling may only help if you’re on a lower dose etc)
Sounds like a plan! If your surgery are as difficult to get emergency appts as most places, tell the receptionist you’re SoB because of your asthma. That should warrant a call back from a doc, who 9x/10 will then tell you to come in to get checked out. Good luck x
