does everyone get side effects with citalopram tablets

Hi love i am taking citalopram and i do get dizzy spells light headed and nausea and headaches but i thnk its a mix from meds and the anxiety have you took them long and if you are worried just give your gp a ring and tell him your symptoms but sure everyone on here gets some side effects i didnt want to take them at first was terrified of taking them i am sure it is your anxiety playing mind games love xxxx

when taking citalopram and with the side effects is it natural to feel like doing nothing and just wanting to sleep at the moment i feel restless and don,t want to do anything just cry

I had to stop taking them - very slowly! - because of dizziness, hot flashes, headaches and nausea. Shame because I felt great on them within a week of taking them. Off to the doc to get something else! I have been told that the side effects wear off eventually as you accommodate, so you may want to keep on for a while if they are helping in other ways. I guess it's a choice between pros and cons.x

I've just decided to come off these, when i first got them the Dr told me i would get worse before getting better, i've only took them since Wed and by god i feel terrible, 100 times worse than before, i'm been sick, dream like state, sweating, bring red face, shaking, not sleeping or eating, hot pins & needles, anxiety is worse, I suppose its different for different people but for me its making me feel worse I'm going to try CBT
