Hi Everyone,

Could anyone help me please? Has anybody tried or doing a CBT course on line? I'm a little nervous about parting with my money so if I could have some help, It will be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks

Hi, Tink - you don't HAVE to part with your money - there are free courses on-line.

There's Beating the Blues - I think you have to be referred for that, in which case it's free, but only available in certain places - like libraries etc. You CAN buy it, I notice, but it is quite expensive - I tried it, and tbh it didn't help, but i'm sure it helps some people.

Living Life to the Full is FREE - and you can use it anywhere - just register, login and you're away! :)

go to: llttf.com/index.php

You can find some other free ones on here:-

getselfhelp.co.uk/links2.htm

Good luck! And don't spend your money without talking a your GP/health professional - unfortunately there are plenty of people out there who will happily take your cash and deliver nothing in return! :( So try the freebies first!

Love, hope this helps.

Hi,

Yes an organisation called Self Help Services offer an array of online packages including Beating the Blues and Living life to the full interactive for people who live in Manchester, Halton and St. Helens.

You can either be referred by your GP or self refer through their website selfhelpservices.org.uk. Just download the appropriate referral form (dependent on your location).

All of the programmes are fully supported by healthcare professionals and an excellent team of volunteers.

The organisation is a user-led charity which helps to create an open and understanding environment.

If you require any more info feel free to ask :)

Hello, a really good cbt site for free is mood gym. And also cbt for dummies and the workbook that goes with it. There are so many free things out there that are actually really good. X

I wasn't to sure on ones you didn't pay for because I didn't know if they would be qualified.
