Yes, twice, both times highly unsuccessful, BUT, everyone is different and reacts differently to medication. I now have medication which is helping , but I also am attending group therapies etc on the NHS which is most helpful.

hi, yes i've been on fluoxotine (more commonly known as prozac) for a couple of months now & they have made me feel better. i had been prescribed numerous other kind of anti-d's but they all made me feel ill, i stuck to them all for the recommended period (they take a while to start working & any initial side effects should disappear) but the side effects didn't wear off, in fact one of the side effects of the last lot of tablets was that initially the could make my mood worse which they did but it kept on getting worse, after 6 wk i was really nasty, my partner said they'd turned me into a monster!!...anyway i knew my brother was on fluoxotine & they had helped him so i requested them from my doctor & after a few days i felt better & more relaxed, a month in i was feeling more normal although not 100%, i forgot to make my appointment to get some more & i ran out, i couldn't get an appointment for a wk & during that wk after a couple of days i could feel the frustration literally boiling up inside me & i couldn't relax when i went to bed. within a coulpe of days of me getting my prescription i felt ok again so in a way i'm glad it happened cos at least i know for certain they are working so give them a go if you haven't started to but bear in mind as the previous person said, evryone's different, what works for some won't work for others.

HI, ive been on prozac for two years now and its not the first time ive had them either. i personally found them the only ones that didnt make me sick as a dog. they do take the edge off. good luck hope you find what works for you. x
