hi mimi, hope u well. i did few times thinking it is my heart which then they did ECG test and they said it is normal. this was before i knew that these are anxiety/panic attacks. it is awful waiting with all those people for few hours waiting for a nurse to call your name and feel some compassion as i am shaking from fear!!! ahhh hated it.

are you ok hun??

Just having a few bad days ideally don't know what to do anymore plus the phobia of meds! I'm just so sick I don't know what to do! Sorry for being so down.

why you are sorry for love, we all feel the same from time to time, sometimes we try to cheer up and crack a smile sometimes we just can't help it.

just remember:

Hope will give birth to Joy in the heart :)

i am here mimi to check on you, so whatever you need, it is probably better off if you go to a park and walk for sometime and maybe listen to some relaxing music while walking.

if not go to the kitchen and bake something that takes few hours from your time, something complicated that you never done before and you fancy, that will engage your brain and you will have a cake for tea :) cheer up hun

i will check on you every now and then

xx

Hi mimi. Yes over the number of years i have had them i have been quite regular. We have fairly decent days but some we feel so breathless were not even sure ourselves if it is down to panic or not, so off we go. It will get easier honest. xx

HI, Yes, I went once when I really didn't know how to cope. I was seen to straight away and as soon as they said the readings were OK, I felt relieved. I've never been back since as that was quite a bad attack so I think if I was OK then, I will be OK now.

Hope you're OK.

when i was first struck with anxiety and panic,i went 6 times in the spate of a week to a and e,it was a terrible sensation of utter dread i was feeling, they where helpful, took me of the meds i was on,and put me on diazepam for 2 weeks, then my doc put me on Prozac, not out of the woods by no means, but its not been as bad as that first week or two,

yes i went once because i have insomia and i was crying and telling the doctors i wanted them to give me a injection so i could sleep and then ive been twice since because i thought i was having a heart attack im still not sleeping good but ive stopped panicing so much about it i just watch telly and sleep when i can i have started comfort eating and i hate it but some times i cant help it it makes me fill better

Thank all of you for answering my question I just get so embarrassed especially because of the phobia of meds! I really thought I'm just going to go but didn't stayed in my room an slept most of the day! I hate this so much I even told my doc an therapist to have me admitted an they said no because they would force meds on me. Thanks again have a blessed evening!!! I don't even know what time it is there you are the sweetest bunch of people and so kind !!!

yes i've been to a&e once a few months back with my anxiety..i thought i as having a heart attack but turns out it was just a panic attack. I actually went to the out of hours doctors surgery at the hospital first as i had been going there quite a lot with "health problems" i thought i had (anxiety again) and i came out feeling more anxious as they weren't reassuring. So i got halfway home and turned the car round and went straight to a&e. There was actually a queue for the ECG machine :/ so had to wait a bit to get checked over. They did the ECG, bloods and sent me for an xray and all came back normal. the nurses were great but the doctor i saw was a bit arsy with me and made me feel a bit stupid but when i found out everything was ok it literally felt like a weight had been lifted of my chest. x

I hope you are feeling a little better now...when I first started with panic attacks a long time ago , we used to send for the GP to come out. Needless to say my GP was always being called as I thought I was on my last legs and going to die. I had never even heard of Panic attacks or anxiety! and was amazed when it was suggested and diagnosed. Unbelievable!! but I'm still here to tell the tale lol xx
