1 where you have a understanding boss is a good start, then something youd enjoy doing no use doing something that is going to make you more anxious.xx

I am a primary teacher and I can honestly say it's the best job in the world :) The kids keep me so busy and are such great company - they help all my worries no end!

It's hard to say, because some jobs you may love but soon find that the people you work with ruin it. Sometimes you can despise the job but it's the people that get you through each day.

I used to work in mainstream education and enjoyed it thoroughly, I would agree with you, the children kept me going, I never had any work related problems. Anything personal disappeared when I walked through the doors. Now I'm in F. E. It's not the same, internal politics and a lack of standards have ruined a job I thought I might enjoy. It's by far the most ridiculously stressful job I've had.

I'm a student at the moment, I've never had a job before and I'm often worried about whether I'll be able to find a career which would suit my anxiety. I find myself assuming that I'd end up getting the sack because of my anxiety problems. Do you find this too?

I have a job where I can work from home some of the time, on bad anxiety days this can be very helpful. But I wouldn't recommend a job where you work from home the whole time as it is good to have distractions to keep you busy and your mind off the anxiety.

As a fellow anxiety sufferer I have discovered that doing what you love is the best anti dote to depression and anxiety. I had several years off work due to them both, about 12 months ago i started voluntering at a clothes bank and a drop in centre for homeless and poverty stricken people..to give your time and compassion to others has been the best rememedy for me. Good luck. x
