Hi Train80. I hope you're feeling OK now. After being OK for a week or so I had a small panic last night when my bf took the dog for a walk and said he would be gone for an hour. I just had to keep reminding myself that he would be back soon.

It's such an odd thing to go through as I'm sure with yourself you've had many scenarios where you've been by yourself and been fine. Forcing yourself to deep breathe as silly as it sounds really does help.

Sometimes when I'm breathless it feels like my chest won't allow the oxygen in to breathe deeply, but if I really concentrate I can do it and my body starts to calm down.

x

Hi train80. I hope you'll feeling a little calmer now! It's not nice if you're on your own and struggle with your own company! I can totally relate to how you're feeling, it's just me and my eighteen month old this week cos my partner is away all week. I already feel very nervous about the week ahead! Try to do your breathing, it does take some practise when you're having an attack but it reallydoes help and after few minutes you should feel yourself calming down! Do you have anything indoors that you enjoy that you can distract yourself with? This may help too x

Yes writing on this website is helping me a lot.i wish there was somebody t0 talk to straight away.my brain just switches off and I can t think straight.i made my plan strategies on cbt paper last night ,including breathing.i accepted

I know what you mean it's like you wish at the flick of switch you could tell someone what was hppening! However this morning I had a panic and I was writing a blog on her, during which I noticed my breathing calm

Down, I just don't like the fact that once I've had a panic I feel weird for the rest of the day :( x im glued to my mobile phone, wouldn't dream

Of going anywhere with out it, it's my biggest safety net! I do the same as you though when it's happening I can't actually thinks straight, sometimes I feel like I don't know even know wht I was doing!! Do you find that? X

Yep the same when the panick take over I feel like I m going crazy,I don t know what to do.and when I have a big panick attack I just feel sorry for myself and take a day to recover unfortunately...maybe we should swap phone number to call each other what do u think?
